Album Review in Fireworks Magazine

Not sure who Steve Swift is, but he's got excellent taste. Here's what he has to say about GK's recent album: "Funky Percussion? Lairy vocals? Animal Noises? "Blow Jane" simply works; perhaps not supercharged enough, though. There's spy movie glam in "Soho Sophisticated", whilst "Stomp" has some sneery, subterranean funk. Then get ready for a dash of electro-glam with a cheeky organ for "Vice Girl".

This sounds good, doesn't it? You'd be right. London based. Glamorous. Undeniable. They want their rock to be impolite and frivolous; it's also great. They slow it down for "Candy Apple Red" with strings and a piano;; an almost power pop skewered by a sung bass and carousel fee.

"You'll find something out of the ordinary here, you see... out of the rock ordinary, something to make them stand out. I can't put my finger on it, and that might be the idea..."
